Scott brings over three decades of experience in the property insurance field to his role as Vice as President of Claims at Torrent. He joined the organization in June, 2014 and has worked in all capacities of the Flood Claims industry across the country. Scott was most recently the Director of Technical Services at NFS-Stoneriver, and formerly at Covansys, a company NFS acquired, where he worked for ten years in many capacities including the creation of and operation of a flood claims department to specifically address proper claim handling of the NFIP-Direct FEMA servicing contract. His focus was also on addressing mitigation and litigation concerns, and performing as the technical claim expert for that company.
In an earlier role, Scott was flood claims manager for Omaha Property and Casualty Insurance Company, the property arm of Mutual of Omaha. Scott also has direct experience in the construction industry, specializing in insurance repair, fire and water restoration. Scott’s expert knowledge base has also been cultivated by extensive field experience with hurricanes Sandy, Irene, and Katrina, among other storms, as far back as 1992. As a result, Scott is adept at leading teams to create and implement new processes which expedite claims investigations and settlements for the benefit of a broad base of customers including agents, policyholders, WYO companies, and FEMA personnel.
